Marcio Miranda
Marcio Miranda has 25 years of experience in the local and international financial markets, working with multinational companies and banks in the Corporate, Foreign Trade and Capital Market areas.
In the Brazilian representative office of the United Nations, Marcio was in charge of technology transfer programs designed to aid socio-economic development.
As the director of customer finance for Nortel Networks, Marcio was responsible for the evaluation, selection, investment, implementation and subsequent financial management of strategic projects in the Telecommunications area in Brazil and Latin America in partnership with BNDES and EDC (Canada).
Marcio also has experience as administrative and financial director in several Brazilian and multinational firms responsible for the areas of Administration, Finance, Control, Human Resources, Investor Relations, Logistics and Tax Planning. In addition, Marcio has undertaken M&A related valuations of family-controlled businesses.
Marcio has a Bachelor degree in Economics from Mackenzie University (São Paulo) and has completed an extension program in Business Administration at New York University. He also has done special courses in Project Finance with the Euromoney Institute (NY) and advanced financial administration at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (SP). Marcio has also organized several local and international seminars on techniques, funding sources and guaranties for the implementaion of Telecommunications Projects, and has developed tailor-made financial training courses for companies and banks.
