Steven M. Mazzetti

Steven Mazzetti is a member of the Telefinance team providing credit and business analysis principally on Brazilian and Southern Cone companies. Recent projects undertaken include participating in the debt restructuring of two major multinational telecommunications providers in Brazil and Argentina, including active participation on the Steering Committees, on behalf of a large U.S. mutual fund manager and a global insurance company.

Steve also provides credit, cash flow and debt capacity analyses of most of the major telecom operators and cable TV providers in Brazil and Argentina to a U.S. export insurance company on a regular basis.

Steven worked for 20 years in senior executive positions in the Brazilian and Southern Cone financial services sector at The First Pennsylvania Bank, BankBoston, and The First National Bank of Chicago, where he was Head of Lending, Credit and Corporate Marketing in First Chicago’s Brazilian affiliate, as well as being a senior member of First Chicago’s local Representative Office.

While at BankBoston in Brazil, Steve was General Manager of the São Paulo Branch, responsible for all aspects of the Bank’s operations in that city. Subsequently Steve established and headed BankBoston’s Bolivia and Paraguay Regional Office, located in São Paulo.

Steve has also been a Shareholder and Managing Partner of several retail businesses in Brazil in the food, entertainment and sports fields.

Steven earned a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
